For those that need to know travel routes, top pic is county route 101/ south street.

⚠️ Use extreme caution in any travel! Roads are extremely poor with icey conditions. Trees covered in snow and ice will continue to fall due to the weight. More snow to go so please stay home if you can! Stay safe everyone ⚠️ ... See MoreSee Less

πŸš¨πŸš’ A third fire in our district to start off the weekπŸš¨πŸš’

At 3:00 am this morning Coeymans Hollow Fire Corporation, Ravena rescue, Albany County Medic and New Baltimore FAST was dispatched to 123 County 101 to Fabcon precast for a reported structure fire. Albany county 911 received 1 911 call reporting flames visible from a maintenance employee. Car 6-02 requested Selkirk and Onesquethaw fire to respond to the scene and placed Coeymans and Ravena fire on standby. Upon arrival it was found to be a working fire in the rear corner of the building. Ravena Fire was dispatched to the scene with their ladder and Coeymans with an engine. The fire was knocked down in 45 minutes and thankfully kept to a single room before spreading. Serious heat damage resulted to near by rooms and hall way as well as significant smoke damage to the rest of the building.
One very big savior was multiple doors being closed within the building keeping the fire contained. We again want to thank all of our neighboring departments for mutual resulting in a job well done.

Responding CHVFC units:
Car 6-02
Engine 6-20
Tanker 6-30

Ravena Fire Dept.
