CHVFC Ladies Third and Final Home Made Manhattan Clam Chowder Sale Next Friday, March 26.

 

The Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corporation Ladies Auxiliary will hold their Final Homemade Manhattan Clam Chowder of the season next Friday, March 26 beginning at 4:00p.m. at the Coeymans Hollow Firehouse. The cost of this year’s chowder will be $6.50 a quart and all proceeds will benefit the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corporation Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. We hope that everyone has enjoy our chowder and we appreciate your support of the Scholarship Fund.  This is the final Chowder sale of the season so be sure to stop by!

Coeymans Hollow Life Member Larry Osterhout passed away on Saturday, March 6:

 

The Members of the Coeymans Hollow Fire Corporation are mourning the loss of Life Member and brother firefighter, Larry Osterhout who has answered his last alarm.  Larry passed away on Saturday, March 6.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

 

Second Clam Chowder a sell out!

 

The Coeymans Hollow Ladies Auxiliary would like to express its appreciation to everyone who came out to purchase the second batch of this year's Manhattan Clam Chowder.  Our next and last Chowder sale will be on Friday, March 26 beginning at 4:00p.m. We only make our chowder three times a year and this will be your last chance to our chowder.

 

Coeymans Hollow Ladies Auxilary Last Manhattan Clam Chowder Sale next Friday, March 26:

 

The Ladies of the CHVFC Ladies Auxilary will once again be chopping and stirring the ingredients for their final Manhattan Clam Chowder Sale next Friday, March 26. The Chowder Sale will start at 4:00pm at the Coeymans Hollow Fire House.  The cost of this year's Manhattan Clam Chowder will be $6.50 a quart and the proceeds will benefit the Coeymans Hollow Ladies Auxilary Scholarship Fund.  The Coeymans Hollow Firehouse is located on the corner of State Rt. 143 and Blodgett Hill Road in Coeymans Hollow.  This is our last sale of the season so stock up now and put it in your freezer so you can enjoy our chowder all year long.   

  

Nominations are currently being accepted:

 

Nominations are currently being accepted for 2010 -2011 line officers and board members.  If you would like to nominate someone for an office, please contact Jack Dennis, Matt Mortefolio, Sam Anderson or sign up your nomination at the firehouse.  Election of new officers will be held on Tuesday, April 6.

 

Installation Banquet Scheduled:

 

The Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corporation will hold its annual installation banquet on Saturday, April 10 at the Waters Edge in New Baltimore.  If you would like to attend this year's banquet, please sign up at the fire house or contact Sue Stratta or Mary Ann Dennis no later than Tuesday, April 6.

Drills Scheduled:

 

Sam Anderson, Coeymans Hollow Training Officer, has announced that there will be a special Ice Rescue drill on Saturday, March 20 beginning at 8:30a.m. and the drill scheduled for Tuesday, March 23 will be a CPR Refresher. The drill will begin promptly at 7:00p.m. and all Firefighters EMS Personnel that need to update their CPR are asked to attend.

 

Board Meeting Scheduled:

 

The Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corpoation's Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, March 29 at the Coeymans Hollow Firehouse beginning at 7:00p.m.  All members of the Board of Directors are encouraged to attend.

 

Safety Tip:

 

Last week was daylight savings time.  Did you put new batteries in your smoke detector?  Also did you purchase your CO detector yet?  Its a new law that every home must have a CO detector.

Coeymans Hollow President Peter J. Bennett passed away on Tuesday, March 2:

 

The Members of the Coeymans Hollow Fire Corporation are mourning the loss of their brother firefighter, President Peter J. Bennettt who has answered his last alarm.  Peter passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 2.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

 

Sympathy Extended:

 

The Members of the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corporation would like to express their sympathy to Matt and Connie Mortefolio on the loss of their daughter April.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

 

Clam Chowder a sell out!

Drills Scheduled:

 

Sam Anderson, Coeymans Hollow Training Officer has announced that the drill scheduled for Monday March 15 will be a FAST Drill at the Delmar firehouse.  All FAST members are to meet at the firehouse at 6:30p.m. The drill scheduled for Tuesday, March 16 will be a TIPS Drill and will begin promptly at 7:00p.m. and a Drill Scheduled for Saturday March 20 will be an Ice Rescue Drill and will begin at 8:00a.m.  All Coeymans Hollow Firefighters and EMS Personnel are encouraged to attend.

 

5 Chiefs Meeting Scheduled:

 

The 5 Chiefs will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 17 at the Coeymans Hollow Firehouse beginning at 7:00p.m.  All members of the 5 Chiefs association are encouraged to attend

Now is a good time to have your summer lawn and garden equipment serviced.

Coeymans Hollow Ladies Auxilary Annual Manhattan Clam Chowder Sale this Friday, March 5:

 

The Ladies of the CHVFC Ladies Auxilary will be chopping and stirring the ingredients for their fourth annual Manhattan Clam Chowder Sale this Friday, March 5. We are sorry that we had to postpone last week's sale due to the weather and we hope that you will be able to come out this week for our chowder.  The next sale will be on Friday, March 12 and our final sale will be held on Friday, March 26. The Chowder Sale will start at 4:00pm at the Coeymans Hollow Fire House.  The cost of this year's Manhattan Clam Chowder will be $6.50 a quart and the proceeds will benefit the Coeymans Hollow Ladies Auxilary Scholarship Fund.  The Coeymans Hollow Firehouse is located on the corner of State Rt. 143 and Blodgett Hill Road in Coeymans Hollow.
